Citi Handlowy and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development sign a financing agreement

- Citi Handlowy and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed a financing agreement for Polish projects, focusing on energy transformation, decarbonization, and economic development.
- The transaction will enable the EBRD to diversify its Polish zloty funding sources for various projects across the country.

This is another joint venture of the institution that has been cooperating since 1993. The transaction will help EBRD with diversification of PLN funding sources for various projects in Poland, mostly related to power sector transition to green, decarbonizing the economy and promoting economic development.
The EBRD is a multilateral bank that promotes the development of the private sector and entrepreneurial initiative in 36 economies across three continents. To date, the Bank has invested almost €16 billion in Poland, including a record €1.43 billion in 2024.
